The Armoire Assistant: Peace of Mind

Asics’ all-new GT-2000 7 is shifting your stride!

Did you know that more than half of the population overpronates?! Don’t worry! It’s not the end of the world if your ankle tends to collapse in a bit when your body’s moving forward. Shoe brands like Asics are working hard to give your ankle support on the run without foregoing speed and responsiveness. One of the shoes that’ll give you that kind of support is one of Asics’ newest releases, the GT-2000 7.

Shifting your workout (and style)…

New Balance 5″ Impact Short (Elderberry)
Nike Miler Running Tank (Cobalt Tint)
Nike Element Therma Sphere ¼ Zip (Black)
Goodr Running Sunglasses (Envy My Octopus Mother)

The Asics GT-2000 7 improves on Asics’ go-to moderate stability shoe. As always, they’re kind to your joints thanks to the impact absorption of Asics’ gel cushioning, and the firm, structured feel that gives you both stability and the confidence that your joints are being well cared for, whether you’re on the roads or in the gym!

We know that you’re not always taking your workout outdoors, so we decided to test out this look both on and off the pavement! A lightweight short like this New Balance 5″ Impact Short gives you a bit of added coverage whether you’re lunging or stretching it out post-workout, and its wide-jersey waistband will hold you in place on the move. Meanwhile, Nike’s blurred the lines between their training and running designs with this Miler Running Tank, which can be worn loose (as pictured!) with its cross-back construction or tied up to keep the top secure when in motion.

Our favorite layer for the colder season is this Nike Element Therma Sphere ¼ Zip. Not only can it be worn as a base layer on the cooler days (its ¼ zip neckline unzipped provides great protection from the wind), it really helps to dry off your bottom layer post-workout. We love to keep these handy in all of our gym bags to serve as a during- and post-workout piece while still looking sleek and styled!

…for peace of mind after you sweat!

Nike Epic Lux Flash (Olive Canvas)
Nike Miler Running Tank (Cobalt Tint)
Janji Women’s Latitude ¼ Zip (Sol Morado)
Goodr Running Sunglasses (A Ginger’s Soul)

Known for its epic fit and fashionable flair, the Nike Epic Lux tight keeps on changing up its look for the seasons! The Epic Lux Flash is perfect for the longer nights, with reflective print that catches eyes and car headlights. Its high waistband and mesh zipper pocket hold you and your belongings in securely, while the cuff is strategically curved to be calf-contouring.

Just as form-flattering is the Janji Latitude ¼ zip. Its wind-blocking front keeps the autumn-turned-winter weather out, while the mesh, pleated seam back lets some of that good air in. We love the hits of reflective detail in Janji’s signature watermark on the sleeve. And, like the rest of their collection this season, this piece was inspired by the founders’ travels in Bolivia — and like always with Janji, part of every sale goes toward funding clean water programs worldwide!
